Arzew Ports Authority has taken delivery of two Pilot SEEM 20-1430AL boats in May 2015. Based in Arzew, Algeria, the owner is one of the biggest Ports Authority in Algeria.

This order also represents an important milestone for Merré shipyard. From design to completion and sea trials, this construction project has been managed within Merré shipyard.

The pilot boats are built in aluminium material and powered by two C18 Caterpillar engines, which give a very light boat who is able to reach a high speed of 26 knots and more. Coupled with this, the vessels have a very spacious crew area for passengers.

Tasmanit 1 and 2 will be going straight to work in the Mediterranean Sea and will be based in Arzew port.

Merré shipyard has built several vessels for Arzew Ports Authority. In January 2015 the shipyard delivered four mooring vessels.

Classed by Bureau Veritas, excellent seakeeping behavior and pilot safety were the main design parameters incorporated in the vessel. Although ideal for coastal and harbour work, she can also take on a seagoing role.

With a length of 19,70 m, she is a powerful vessel with 2x Caterpillar C18 main engines, which enables the vessel to achieve speeds of 26 knots. It can comfortably accommodate a crew of ten.
