Merré and Mecasoud build a new split barge SEEM 51-970ST hull

Mecasoud works as a subcontractor for the Merré shipyard on the steel hull of a new split barge SEEM 51-970ST.
This vessel, consisting of two half-hulls opening to the length and having pit excavations, is designed for dredging works. It will allow for example to recover and clay sand, riprap or mud. Ordered by a foreign customer, this split barge must be delivered by Merré shipyard by the summer.
