Merré goes ahead with a new Tunisian order

Indeed, the Merre shipyard, a BMA Group member, is continuing his international development in the African and Middle East markets by winning a 6 aluminum pilot boats order who will operate in Bizerte , La Goulette, Sousse, Sfax, Gabes and Zarzis ports in Tunisia.

This new order from the OMMP authorities is the crowning achievement of the dynamism shown by Merré shipyard for more than five years now.

These are 12 meters aluminum pilot boats with optimized displacement to give these vessels an excellent power / speed ratio in order to improve the fuel consumption.

These vessels are propelled by two engines each fitted with a shaft line. The draft is less than one meter.

They are designed to carry 8 people, a crew of 3 people and 5 passengers in excellent conditions, even in bad weather and rough seas.

The Merré shipyard, which has already delivered ships to Dakar Port authorities in Senegal in recent years, as well as several Algerian ports with aluminum or steel pilot boats from 12 to 20 meters, confirms his know-how that comes to add to well-known tugs, dredgers and pontoons,double-end ferries and other trawlers or inland vessels.

The Merré shipyard is also developping itself on French country, notably with the construction of 29 tugs for the French Navy in association with CMN. The motehrship construciton will be finalized by the end of 2017.
