A new tug SEEM 14-1000ST under construction
01 Ocotber 2017
After the construction of three tug SEEM 14-1000ST sisterships, a new shipowner renews his confidence to Merré shipyard who has started the construction of a new vessel.
Propelled with two D13 Volvo engines with a total power of 1000 hp and with a bollard pull exceeding 12 tons for a freeway speed of more than 11 knots, her autonomy makes it possible to respond to missions far from her home port.
She can accommodate a crew of six people. She is laid out for life on board over periods of several weeks.
This tug is thus very dense and compact ; She reflects the know-how of Merré shipyard in terms of work boats, which guided the choice of the customer.
She will be built at Merré shipyard in Nort-sur-Erdre. The hull and superstructure will be transported separately by means of trucks to the launching site in Saint Nazaire. The assembly of the superstructure and the connection of the networks will be carried out on this site before launching at the beginning of 2018.
