Double-end ferry SEEM 40-1140ST "Bac 24"

Seine-Maritime department took delivery of the new double ended ferry Bac 24 by the end of september.
Built in Nort sur Erdre and Saint-Nazaire, and after sea trial on Loire river, it has been towed until the Seine river in order to execute sea trial in july on his operating line between Quillebeuf and Port-Jérome.
Merré Shipyard has performed operation training to crews on the same time.
Built par Merré Shipyard, this new ship (two similar ones has been delivered to the Loire atlantic department in 2012 and 2013) is 66 meters long, with 40 m of hull.
Equiped with four Cummins QSL9 diesel engines and four Schottel pump jets, it will be able to welcome 145 passengers, 27 cars and 2 heavy vehicles.
It will start soon operating line between Quilleboeuf and Port-Jérôme, which is the second busiest line on the Seine after Duclair.
